Former Russian regional leader and chess administrator Kirsan Ilyumzhinov claims that he was once abducted by aliens.Having previously served as the President of the Republic of Kalmykia in the Russian Federation as well as the head of the chess international governing body FIDE, Ilyumzhinov is perhaps best known these days for his controversial claim that he was abducted by extraterrestrials back in the 1990s.
While he has told the story many times before, the tale was brought back into the spotlight recently thanks to an interview on Jesse Michaels’ American Alchemy podcast.
According to Ilyumzhinov, it all started in 1997 when, while standing out on the balcony of his apartment in Moscow, he was abducted by alien entities wearing yellow spacesuits.
“They put a spacesuit on me, told me many things and showed me around,” he said.
“They wanted to demonstrate that UFOs do exist. I am often asked which language I used to [telepathically] talk to them. Perhaps it was on a level of the exchange of ideas.”
In the recent interview, Ilyumzhinov elaborated on the conversation he had with the aliens, noting that they had wanted to convey peaceful intent.
He claimed that they had told him that the Earth had previously hosted five intelligent civilizations, that the aliens themselves had created the human race and that they had also invented the game of chess.
He also maintained that the aliens had not conveyed to him any political or military knowledge and that he had not been told about events that would come to pass in the future.
Unsurprisingly, Ilyumzhinov’s story has been met with some considerable skepticism over the years, but to his credit, he has always maintained that everything happened exactly the way he described it.
Was he really abducted by aliens that night, all those years ago, or did something else happen ?
As things stand, we will probably never know.
